About the company: In 1929, Nestlé was faced with the challenge of helping to maintain a surplus of coffee beans in Brazil, to which it responded immediately. The company’s coffee expert, Max Morgenthaler, undertook the task of creating a wonderful cup of coffee by simply adding water. Max and his team worked hard to find a new way to make instant coffee that would retain its natural flavor. Their efforts had a happy ending in 1938, the year in which NESCAFÉ coffee was born.
